FARREN, Marion Joseph, age 96 passed away at Trinity Community in Beavercreek,Tuesday June 4th 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Rea of 67 years. A daughter Sherry, daughter-in-law Nancy, grandson Michael, granddaughter Amy, brother Jay and sister Joann Moore. He is survived by his son Joseph Farren, daughter Susan (Mike) Magee of Huber Heights, son-in-law Bill Miller of Xenia, sister June (Harry) Stillwell of Kettering, brother Arnold Farren at the Otterbein home. Grandchildren : Beth (chet) Anderson , Bob Karl,Meg (Dave) Roalef, Jonell (Matt) Haupt,Jeff (Kathee) Miller, Christine and Andrew Magee. 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Also several nieces and nephews. Marion was a veteran of WWll. He helped liberate one of the death camps, received a Purple Heart, was awarded European Theatre Service Metal with 3 Bronze Stars. He was a long time member of Greenmont Oak Park community church, a long time resident of Greenmont Village. He loved music, fishing, RVing, watching car races and most of all family events. Marion will be greatly missed. Funeral Service 2 pm Thursday June 13th at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. (Beavercreek Chapel) Friends may call from 1 pm til time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Robert Smitley officiating. Interment Beavertown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Trinity Community Benevolent Fund in Marion’s name.
