Margaret Manning (Phillips) was born on April 11, 1947 in Winchester, Indiana. She moved to Dayton, Ohio when she was 11. She is preceded in death by her father, George Phillips of Winchester, Indiana, and her mother, Mary Lou Timmerman of Dayton, Ohio. Margaret is survived by her husband Michael of 55 years; her son Andrew and his wife Melissa and their daughters Rachel and Madelyn; and her son Joseph and his wife Alicia and their children Eva, Mia, Jace, and Billie; and her sister Veronica Phillips of Dayton.
Margaret graduated from Julienne High School in Dayton in 1965. She worked at several Dayton hospitals as a certified inhalation therapist. She married Michael in 1968. Michael entered the United State Air Force in 1969, and Margaret became a dedicated Air Force wife and devoted mother. Together they completed an adventurous military career lasting over 24 years and spanning 8 states and the island of Guam. Margaret loved reading, painting, and needlework. She was a professional floral designer while stationed at numerous Air Force bases, and she spent over 10 years working as a designer at Knollwood Nursery in Beavercreek, Ohio. She spent most of her retirement years travelling with her husband and keeping track of her grandkids.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
