Kay Lynn Skaggs

Kay Lynn Skaggs, age 83, of Kettering, Ohio, Born 4/21/1939 Passed 2/8/2023. Graduate of East Bank High School in East Bank, West Virginia where she was a cheerleader and a member of the band. She enjoyed her 3 sisters and swimming in the Kanawha River. She often boasted going to school with the great Jerry West.

Kay married James (J.C.) on 7/29/1958 and shortly after moved to Carlisle Ohio where she was an avid athletic booster and music supporter of her sons and their friends. Later they moved to Adams County where she enjoyed the countryside and gardening; especially her flowers and plants. JC and Kay enjoyed traveling many miles on their motorcycle, including a trip to Canada, two trips to California, and several trips to Florida.

Preceded in death by her Husband of 55 years, James C Skaggs, father Oscar Fisher, mother Zana Fisher, sister Clara Armstrong, sister Sherry Youell, and Great grandson Kyle Skaggs.

Survived by son RC Skaggs; son Harold (Lisa) Skaggs; sister Sank (Anthony) Iemma; grandson Jeff (Lindsay) Skaggs; grandson Christopher Skaggs; grandson Allen (Lindsey) Conner; granddaughter Kayla Skaggs. Great grandchildren Cooper, Cameron, Caleb, Callie, Logan, Gweneth and Aiden. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Her love was felt by her family and friends as well as anyone with whom she met. Kay was a woman that didn't know a stranger and who enjoyed conversation and learning everything possible about everyone. She is remembered for her infectious smile and loving way.

Kay was a Loving and Caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend. She will be greatly missed.

The visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4865 Wilmington Pk, Kettering OH on Wednesday, with services to follow immediately.
