BURTON, John Walter Age 85 of Peebles, OH formerly of Beavercreek, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. John was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ruth Burton. He is survived by his wife Gretchen (Reiter), sister Elizabeth (Neiman), and brother George (Burton). He is survived by his children Dawn (Roger) Sarver, John (Jessica) Burton and grandchildren Malinda, Joshua, Lisa, James, Marcus, Cristina, John Connor, and great-grandchildren Katarina, Alyssa, Tyler, Ian, Riley, Jaxon, Wyatt, Gretchen, Michael, and Abby Ann
John worked at NCR, North Dixie Tool & Die, and Mantych Metalworking Inc. where he retired. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. John also enjoyed several other hobbies including mini midget racing in his younger days, crafting fine wood furniture in his shop, reading a good book, and spending time with his many loved ones
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
