James Pendergast

James P. (Jim) Pendergast, age 72, of Beavercreek Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Jim was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the Late John and Clarissa (Kuth) Pendergast, and was raised in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Jim was a 1967 Graduate of Sycamore High School. He attended college at the Indiana Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and attended Officer Training School. He moved to Beavercreek, Ohio where he worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base until he retired after 35 years of Military and Civilian service. Jim was involved in working on the C-5, F-14 and the Stealth Fighter and Bomber and many other aircraft during his time at WPAFB. He worked tirelessly to keep those planes up in the air throughout his entire career. He loved boating and vacationing at Lake Erie. He loved spending time with his friends at the picnic table and at the local pub where they would all solve the world’s problems.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Jim is survived by his Son Matt (Tammy) Pendergast, Daughter Karen (Jeff) Heinrich, Grandchildren Emma, Taylor and Austin; Brothers Jack (Dawn) and Tom Pendergast and Sister Barb (Jeff) Rahn.
