LAWSON, James E. “Bud”, age 87 of Xenia, went to be with The Lord on Friday, July 7, 2017. He was born in Williamsburg, KY to the late Starlin and Nancy Hill Lawson. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother Lori Owens Lawson, sister Ruthie, brother Paul, step-sister Dorthy, son-in-law Gary Rigsby, and daughter-in-law Bevra Lawson. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Imogene “Faye” Lawson, daughter Emma, sons James Darrell (Elaine) and Timothy, grandchildren Joseph (Megan), Jeremy (Tabitha), Kelli Miller Lawson, Sharissa Rigsby, and Jared Harrington, great-grandchildren Evan and Cody Rigsby, Olivia Miller, and Addelynn Lawson, and brother Ernie (Sarah). James served in the United States Army. He married Imogene Brown on May 29, 1954. James had retired from YSI and was a worship and song leader at First Pentecostal Church in Xenia for 11 years. He worked for the Lord in the Church along with his wife. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with interment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of services on Tuesday.
