Jake Fullard III, 61 years old, of Beavercreek passed away on 12 October 2024. His passing was sudden and unexpected. All of the days of his life he was an amazing Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend, Coach, Mentor, and Professor.
Jake Fullard III was born on May 12, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland where he grew up to parents Jake and Doris Fullard Jr and had the privilege of being a big brother to Edwin Fullard.
As a young man growing up in Baltimore Jake loved baseball. At the age of 7 Jake began his baseball journey with Forrest Park Little League where he was an outstanding pitcher. After 7 years with Forrest Park he had earned 5 batting titles and 6 all-star appearances, he then moved on to become a 3 time all-star with his high school team, the Walbrook Warriors. The amazing thing was that the entire time he was making crowds cheer he was just as extraordinary in the classroom especially in math, auto shop, and chemistry! Of course when it came time to choose sports or academics, we know which one he chose as he later achieved a Bachelor of a Science (1999), Electrical Engineering from Wright State University, Master of Science, Operations Management (2008), and a MBA with Concentration in Manufacturing Engineering (2012) both through Kettering University.
In 1983, he entered the military where he served 10 years. This took him across the world to the Philippines where he met the love of his life, Michelle (Jacquart) Fullard and whom he married shortly after and shared a beautiful marriage of 38 years, together for 40 years. He shares two daughters with Michelle, Alexis and Ashley Fullard, who are the joy of his life.
In 1996 the family moved to Ohio where he completed his education and served as an Electrical Engineer for 20 years at Delphi, AK Steel, and American Trim before becoming a college Professor of Engineering, Robotics, and Controls at Sinclair Community College. There was not a day that went by that he did not share his excitement about his students. He was loved and respected by his business associates as well.
Jake was a natural born leader who used his abilities to coach children on his recreational soccer and softball teams including his own two daughters who loved him more than everything. It made sense when he fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a college professor. Jake toured STEM events and schools to speak to hundreds of children about their future and taught classes while instilling hope and motivation into every student he came into contact with. Jake was a true champion of people and their dreams.
Jake is in the Hall of Fame of best Dads EVER. He sat with both his daughters to do Hooked on Phonics and helped them with their homework every night, went to every teacher meeting, attended every single sports game, and when they needed him most he always had great advice and listened to them. He never missed a single birthday and always made it special. He was a protector and did everything in his power to set them up for success in life. Jake was the MVP of all Dads.
As amazing as a coach, teacher, and Dad, Jake was, he was an even more amazing Husband. There was no one in this world who loved Michelle Fullard more than Jake. They are each other’s “ride or die”. Through all of their adventures of life when you saw Michelle you always saw Jake beside her. They cruised the world together, played at the casino, enjoyed football, baseball, and hockey games, plays, and concerts. Jake was also blessed with many great friends and was fiercely loyal.
Jake was a brave, caring, and thoughtful man who spent every moment of his life helping others. In true Jake fashion, he helped 125 people as a donor.
Upon his arrival in Heaven, Jake was greeted by his daughter, Ashley Fullard, father and mother, Jake and Doris Fullard Jr of Maryland, and father and mother in law Jack and Sharon Jacquart of Wisconsin, sister and brother in law Joan (Jacquart) Malzow and Clayton Malzow of Wisconsin and several aunts and uncles.
Jake is survived by his wife Michelle Fullard, daughter Alexis Fullard of Virginia, brother Edwin Fullard and Lolita Fullard of Maryland, brother in law Steve Jacquart and Becky Jacquart of Wisconsin, nieces Carly Jacquart of Wisconsin and Lauren Fullard of Maryland, and the family pets, Oliver Remington and Charlie Brown.
