George Yefchak was born October 12, 1929 in New Jersey to George and Julia Yefchak. While serving in the Air Force, he met Marjorie Aileen Cummings, and they were married in 1960. They had one son, George Edward Yefchak. After living in Texas, Thailand, and Nevada, the family settled in Dayton, Ohio. George continued to work for the Air Force at Wright-Patterson until his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie, who passed away in 2002. George was a member of the University of Dayton Flyers’ Club and attended many University of Dayton football and basketball games. He also enthusiastically listened to polka music and attended many Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra concerts. In 2023, he moved into Our Home Fairborn where he remained until he passed away on December 19, 2024 at the age of 95.
