Freda C. (Campbell) Mullis, age 85, passed away 12/26/2020. She was born in Harveysburg, Ohio to Adam and Effie(Vincent) Campbell on December 27, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, J. Lex Mullis in 1991; also special companion Dudley Holbrook and several siblings.
She is survived by her children, David (Kate) Pope, Tami (Tony) Woodall of Kettering and Aaron (Sherry) Pope of Dayton; grandchildren, Adam and Kyle Pope, Vincent (Steph) Woodall, Aaron (Loren) Woodall, John and Jim Adams, Frankie Underwood and Madison Wiley; great grandchildren Mackenzie Pope (Emanuel), Taylor Pope (Damion), Gavin Pope, Oliver and Avery Woodall; brother, David (Judy) Campbell; sisters, Juanita Eggers and Fran Schirtzinger; several nieces, nephews and too many friends to mention.
Freda’s personality was best described as sassy! She never met a stranger and treated all of her friends like family. She retired after many years of service to the Duriron Company. Freda was a 30-year breast cancer survivor and an active member of VFW Post 2800 and American Legion Post 675. Freda’s cooking was legendary, especially known for her famous fried chicken and potato salad! She will be missed by many!
Per her request, services will be held at the convenience of the family.
