TERRELL, Delbert R. "Del" Age 63 of Beavercreek, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023. Del was most proud and loved his family. He and Lisa were to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on June 11, 2023. They were married in 1983 at Linden Ave. Baptist Church in Dayton, OH. They took their vows seriously and remained devoted to each other throughout their marriage. Together they have two sons. Tyler (Krystyna) and Jeremy (Mary). Del loved and was so proud of his sons and blessed with wonderful daughter-in-laws. Papa Del was over the moon in love with his six grandchildren ages 4 ½ to youngest who is almost 1. Logan, Tara, Lily, Landon, Levi and Isaac. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Barbara (Kelley) Terrell. Del is also survived by his brothers Brian (Jennifer) Terrell, Mark (Tina) Terrell and Chad (Susan) Terrell, sister Jill (Dave Snow) Terrell, mother-in-law Josephine Smith, brother-in-law Eric Smith, nieces Mindy and Brooke, nephews Lucas and Austin, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, including best childhood friend and fellow graduate of Stebbins Class of 1978, Tim Richmond. Del had a passion for the outdoors and gardening. In his younger years he would grow a huge garden including 60 + tomato plants and was pumpkin king in his family. To say he was competitive is an understatement. Del always had his eye on the prize and was usually always #1 in everything he put his mind to. He was always present at his boys sports and he taught them at a a young age how to respect the art in the sport of hunting and fishing. They had many years of happy memories, but wished for more to come. Del was proud of his career in the beer business. Starting as a young route driver at B&W Distributing Co. and retiring from Bonbright Distributing Co in Dayton, Ohio. It was at Bonbright where he was most proud. He rose to be a legend in the industry. A special highlight of his sales career at Bonbright was obtaining the highest sales in the state of Ohio at the age 28. This won he and Lisa a ten day once in a lifetime trip to Australia. A true friend to all, a mentor and finally a father figure during the last of his 35 year career. Del retired in 2015. He loved his job and no doubt would still be working if not for his neuromuscular disease. This did not derail him and remained upbeat and positive. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. Most important is Del, along with his wife Lisa, instilled high moral standards and the Love of God into their sons at a young age. We know Del is our #1 Angel in Heaven. Thank you to the family and friends who visited Del in the hospital. You lifted his spirits and he appreciated each and every one of you. Many thanks to the nurses and Dr’s at Soin Medical Center over his three-week stay and on his final day at Kettering Medical Center Health main campus. His family and many, many friends will forever miss this one of a kind sweet man. We are comforted in knowing that he is at peace with His Lord.
