She is survived by her loving husband, Claudio Bellini; her daughters, Ashlee (Aaron) Schaffrinna, Brittany (Amos) Leach, Jamie (Hamir Mahajan) Bellini; her grandchildren, Finley and Eli Schaffrinna; her mother, Judith Beaulieu; her mother-in-law, Silvana Bellini; her sisters, Shawn Egbert, Robin Chew, Brandee Hayes; many special nieces and nephews, many dear friends, and a multitude of children that she cared for over the years.
She was greeted into Paradise by her Heavenly father as well as her earthly father, Thomas Beaulieu, and her father-in-law, Felix Bellini.
Cindy was a beam of light. She was the safe space, the anchor, and the constant comfort for so many that loved her. When people were introduced to Cindy, she welcomed and accepted each person with open arms; she loved everybody for their good qualities, as well as their flaws. She pushed people to be kind and to do the right thing. She was the voice of reason through all situations. She was always encouraging people to forgive one another and to grow from obstacles. She was the person everybody called for advice. Along with that advice came a numerous amount of “I told you so’s”, implied but rarely spoken out loud. She was never shy to tell the truth so when praise came from Cindy, you knew it was genuine, which people held close to their hearts.
Cindy was married to her college sweetheart, Claudio, for 34 years. Cynthia and Claudio’s relationship was unique, rare, and admired by many. They made each other laugh; they still held hands; they were best friends. Cyn and Claudio balanced each other in the best ways possible. Although they were opposites and individuals, they were one unit in their decisions, dreams, and goals (except for the numerous amounts of Amazon packages that were delivered each week). On their wedding day, the priest prayed their love would be strong like Roman concrete. Claudio and Cynthia’s adoration for one another was the epitome of this. They loved and cherished one another for better and for worse and in sickness and in health.
Cynthia was incredibly proud of the special people in her life. Each of her daughters displays a part of Cynthia that will live on forever: Ashlee is the balm, strength, and wisdom in the midst of chaos; Brittany has a heart that overflows with empathy and love for others; Jamie’s selfless nature and dedication to her family triumphs all. Cynthia and her mother, Judith, shared a constant and unconditional devotion for each other throughout every stage of life. The bond she had with her sisters, Shawn, Robin, and Brandee, personifies love and strength. Cindy has played a significant role in helping to raise over 25 children during their formative years in her home daycare. She was proud of her nieces and nephews and also helped raise them as if they were her own. Most of all, she had a deep adoration for her grandchildren, Finley and Eli; their Nana made sure they felt that love every day.
Her body went through so much physical trauma throughout her cancer journey of nearly three and a half years; even on her hardest days, she never complained. She fought with grace and determination as she continued to inspire every person that heard her story. Cindy had an anthem throughout her cancer journey. Even in her final days of life, she mustered up the energy to sing to those around her. This song played one last time as Cynthia took her final breaths before she entered her heavenly home. The lyrics read:
I will fight, I will fight for you.
I always do, until my heart is black and blue.
And I will stay; I will stay with you.
We’ll make it through the other side, like lovers do.
I’ll reach my hands out in the dark
And wait for yours to interlock
I’ll wait for you, I’ll wait for you.
‘Cause I’m not givin’ up
I’m not givin’ up, I’m not givin’ up
No not yet
Even when I’m down to my last breath
Even when they say there’s nothing left
So don’t give up on me.
This song represents Cynthia’s life: she fought hard, refused to give up, and held her loved ones closely. She didn’t give up on others and didn’t let others give up on themselves.
So many people on this earth were molded into who they are today because of Cindy. She was the best wife, mom, daughter, sister, Nana, and friend. Her legacy of love will live on through all.
