Osborne, Claude E.,Jr., “Sonny”, age 60, of Centerville, OH and a longtime resident of Beavercreek, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. He and Lee Anne recently returned to the Dayton area having lived in San Tan Valley, AZ. Sonny was born in Dayton, OH on July 26, 1956, the son of Claude E. Osborne, Sr. and Verniece (Olinger) Osborne, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Carlos Osborne. Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 5 years, whom he has known since 6th grade, Lee Anne (Haynes) Osborne; their five children, Heather Renee and husband, Andrew Payne, Holly Rebecca Osborne, Hilary Rochelle Trinidad, Ryan Matthew Hensley and Erin Hensley; his brother, Darryl Kevin Osborne, 2 grandchildren, Trystan Rochelle Harrington and Harper Ryan Payne. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joann and Henry Thompson; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan and Phil Shaw and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Sonny was a much loved member and graduate of Beavercreek High School, Class of 1974, where he excelled in athletics. He was a graduate of Wright State University earning a Bachelors Degree in Communications. He was employed by Wright State School of Medicine for 32 years. While living in Arizona, Sonny was a teacher and basketball coach , who was much loved by his students and parents. He currently was attending Patterson Park Church in Beavercreek and had been a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in his younger years. An avid sports enthusiast, golfing and bowling were his passions. Above all else, he loved his family and grandchildren with an undying passion. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at the Patterson Park Church, 3655 East Patterson Road in Beavercreek. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either The American Heart Association or The Patterson Park Church choir.
