Gutman, Carol Ann, 70, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at Miami Valley Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Lawrence Gutman of Beavercreek; sons and daughter-in-law Michael and Melinda Gutman of Rockport, Massachusetts; Tom Gutman of Dayton; daughters and sons-in-law Dr. Kathy Gutman and Mark Robbins of Beavercreek, Lynne and James Mowery of Dayton; brothers and sister-in-law Ron and Pam Frazier of Kettering, Tom Frazier of Dayton; 5 grandchildren, Erick Gutman, Megan Gutman, Ben Leithold, Kayla Mowery and Zack Mowery. Carol was an active member of the Bible Study Group at St. Luke’s Catholic Church and the St. Luke Bridge Club. She was a member of the Carroll High School Carrollers for 12 years, supporting the High School band. She loved socializing and was a Quacker and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and received a B.A. from the University of Dayton. She retired from the University of Dayton in 2000 after 18 years of service to the University. Carol will be remembered for her love and dedication to her husband, children, grandchildren, friends and extended family and for the many sacrifices she made for them. Prayers will be held 9:45 AM Thursday, April 26, 2012 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
