Calvin T. "Brownie" Brown

Calvin T. Brown “Brownie”, age 98 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Gracie Brown, three sisters; Virgie Brown, Marie Blaylock and Courdie Styers, a brother, Clarence Brown, and special niece, Sharon Crawford. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Charline (Madewell) Brown, a special nephew, Tim Winnett and wife Karen, and their son, Bryan Winnett and wife Maggie, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Calvin proudly served in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of Solar Lodge #730 F&AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. He was a member of Northridge Freewill Baptist Church and a retiree of Delco Products. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home- Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd., on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 11 AM until 1 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday with Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens following the funeral.
