HEALEA, Brittany Nicole, age 34 of Fairborn, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 18, 2021. Brittany was born on June 8, 1986 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She attended Five Points Elementary and Fairborn High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was a graduate of Wright State University with a Masters of Business Administration. While at Wright State she was on the Dean’s List and participated in the Study Abroad Program which brought her the opportunity to study in Costa Rica. After graduation she worked at Reynolds and Reynolds, Goodwill Easter Seals of the Miami Valley and the Speedway Corporate Office in Enon as an IT Business Analyst. Brittany was loved by all who knew her. She was honorary member of many of her friends’ families. Brittany could light up a room with her smile. Brittany enjoyed being an active part of her community by volunteering. She was a graduate of the Leadership Dayton Class of 2019 where she was elected Class representative and subsequently appointed to the Board of Governors with the Dayton Chamber of Commerce. The Dayton Neighborhood Leadership Institute graduating Class of 2018. She was appointed to the Alumni Board where she served in the role of Social Media and Communications Coordinator. Project Read, a literacy coalition, where she served as a member of the Board of Directors. The ThinkTV (PBS) Great TV Auction, a week-long fundraiser, where she served as an on-air personality for nightly deals and as Co-Chair for the Firehouse Quickie segment. Tour de Dayton, an annual bicycle riding tour of Dayton community events where she served on the food committee. She also volunteered for a Democratic candidate running for Ohio State House of Representatives in 2018 for whom she served in the role of Social Media and Webpage Coordinator. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Richard Kammer and Fred Healea, and uncle Jason Clark. Brittany is survived by her mother Mary and step-father Ran Raider, grandmothers Joan Seaton, Pat Kammer and Helen Gardner, uncle Mike and aunt Kathleen Clark, cousins Zachary and Joshua Clark, great uncle Chris and aunt Ros Holtmann and their children Matthew, Kristen, Vanessa and Adam, great uncle Don Holtmann and his children Donnie and Wendy, as well as her step-father Brian Healea (Debbie) and grandmother Marilyn Healea, and aunts Karen and Susan (Mark). Her life was enriched by her besties which included her mother Mary, aunt Weezie, Heather, Katie, Kylie, Kristin, Shannon, Shauntae, Tia and her Goodwill “work husband” Donald Bush. A visitation with social distancing and masks will be held on Tuesday January 26th at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral Services with social distancing and masks will follow with burial at Dayton Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Brittany Healea Memorial Scholarship for Leadership Dayton which was very near and dear to her heart.
Donations made to the Leadership Dayton fund in memory of Brittany Healea will be used to grant scholarships and tuition assistance to future Leadership Dayton participants. Participants in Leadership Dayton all have a passion for improving the greater Dayton community through volunteer service and a commitment to leading and working together with others in the community to achieve community goals. Brittany embodied everything Leadership Dayton stands for!
