ROARK, Bill age 74, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Miami Valley Hospital. United States Navy veteran and member of USS Hancock CV/CVA - 19 Association, Bill was a celebrated Auto body repair man in the city of Dayton, with Custom cars published in Hot Rod Magazine. He worked at Frank-Z Chevrolet; Sierra Chevrolet, Brookville Roadster and also owned his own body shop. Bill was a devoted family man; he thoroughly enjoyed being his grandsons’ biggest fan by attending every event they participated in. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Essie Roark, and step-mother Kay Roark, and his father and mother-in-law Urban”Smokie” and Luella “Granny”Schoen. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 1/2 years, Margaret Roark, their son Chris(Cammie)Roark, grandsons; Christopher, Corey, and Cameron, brother Bob(April)Roark, sisters-in-law Virginia Osburn, Nancy (Mike) Santoro and Linda Murphy, brother-in-law Bill(Cheri)Schoen, many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great -nephews, cousins and devoted friends and special extended family Ruth(Don)Ashby. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the pulmonary care unit at Miami Valley Hospital for the care given to Bill. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bill’s memory to the Pulmonary Care Unit Fund at Miami Valley Hospital MVH Foundation 1 Wyoming St. Dayton, OH 45409 or charity of choice. Family to receive friends 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 2, 2012 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel; where service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, with Rev. Dr. Suzanne Allen officiating.
