Miller, Betty L (Martindill, Aldinger) age 89, of Centerville passed on Friday, April 13, 2012 at The Hospice of Dayton. She was born November 9, 1923, in McArthur, Ohio to Lucile and Don R Martindill. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bob Martindill, husband Bill Miller and a host of friends. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Georgia Banziger, brother Bill (Sharon) Martindill, four nephews, Bob, Terry Keith (Linda), Mike (Kathy), Mark (Chris) and six great-nieces and nephews. Also survived by three step-sons, Dale, Jim and Alan Miller. After moving to Dayton with her family in 1939, Betty graduated from Fairview High School in 1941. At 27, she was single again with a 4-year old child. Betty worked as a bank teller and took secretarial courses at night. She became Office Manager for the local office of John Hancock Life Insurance Co. She retired when she married Bill Miller in 1988. Betty loved spending time with her daughter Georgia, collecting Thomas Kincaid’s works, reading, crossword puzzles, bridge, needlepoint, and flower gardening. The family would like to thank the kind staff members at Miami Valley and Kettering Hospitals, Bethany Rehab Center, Walnut Creek Special Care Unit, Gem City Health Care, Brighton Gardens and Hospice. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm, Monday, April 16, 2012 and a funeral service at 11 am Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Tobias – Far Hills Chapel. Interment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
