Barbara Ruth Bushman, age 78 of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, May 25. She is survived by her husband, Larry C. Bushman, 2 sons, Matthew D Bushman and Mark C Bushman, her brother, James L Young, a sister-in-law, Marjorie Ruf and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her 3 sisters and their husbands, Anne Pollock (Bob) , Heidi Seidel (John), and Bette Slagel (Dick).
Barb graduated from Fairmont High School in 1959 and that summer started a job with Ray Bryant Chevrolet as their greeter and receptionist that everyone fell in love with the minute they came through the door.
Her next endeavor was a secretary for a well know psychiatrist in Dayton for a number of years until she got the job of her life. She began working for TWA as lead sky chief ticket agent making reservation for only executives in Dayton that required special attention.
Barb loved flying and all the special perks from TWA that came with the job. Barb and I both graduated from Fairmont but never dated until a few years out of high school. That’s when the best times of my life began. Those of you that know her know exactly what I mean. You also got to be the recipient of her unconditional love and affection. She gave to everyone that she touched. You too will have these memories that myself and our boys will have forever. Now she’s in Heaven giving that same unconditional love to all her friends and family that have been waiting for her to arrive.
She is now free of all the pain and suffering she’s gone through for too long. We all miss you so much already and “ I Love You More”.
I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to thank Hospice of Heartland for all of their help and support. I would not have been able to get through these last 6 – 8 weeks without you. Barb and I love you all. Thank you so much. In lieu of flowers contributions may be to Hospice of Heartland in memory of Barb.
Family will receive family and friends Thursday May 30, 2019 from 5 - 7 pm at the Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
I would ask everyone that has pictures of Barb to bring them to share at the service with everyone.
