Ann S. Kern

KERN, Ann S., age 75 of Dayton passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 2:44 p.m. at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. Ann was born on November 29, 1937 in East Orange, New Jersey to the late David and Martha Mohler Strachan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Valle of Miami FL. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Craig Stewart Kern, along with sons, Doug and wife Carol of Corbin KY and his daughter Nicole Beatty, and her son Dylan Lawson of Dayton and Rick and wife Debbie and their son, Kyle of Beulaville NC. She is also survived by her sister, Lynn Giambrone of Atlanta GA. She worked in the accounting department of Eastern Airlines for many years after graduating from high school. Later she worked as an office manager for a local dentist. She was very interested in antiques and spent many hours in pursuit of the ultimate hidden treasure. She was also volunteered for the Dayton Air Show. The family would like to thank the following people who went above and beyond in caring for her during her stay at Walnut Creek, Glenda Hall, Janet Alexander, Leslie Baxter, Heather Wegerzyn and Sarah Irons.
