Was born on January 25, 1944 in Spokane, WA to Charles and Freda Piper. Bob grew up in the Reardan area and attended school and graduated in1962. Bob married Penny Paulsen on December 11, 1965 in Davenport, WA and they made their home in Reardan and raised their family. Bob passed away June 16, 2017 in Davenport, WA. He is survived by his wife Penny Piper at their home in Davenport, one son Michael Piper and two grandchildren Justin and Emma. Bob has three sisters Marjorie Wark, Patsy Senter and Jean Shull along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bob is preceded in death by one son Donald in 1984, daughter in law Jodi in 2016, one brother Ed Piper and his parents Charles and Freda Piper. Bob was the former owner operator of the Union 76 and Mobil gas stations and bulk fuel plant in Reardan. He was owner of Piper Farm Toys and worked at Lincoln Mutual in Reardan. He delivered mail from the Reardan post office and was also the Post Master in Reardan .Bob also sold real estate and insurance before taking over the family farm in 1986. He was a former Reardan Lions Club member and Reardan Fire Dept. He loved playing his guitar and piano, going to the lake, and get togethers with family and friends and visiting with people and watching his grandchildren’s events. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 9 am to 4 pm at the Strate Funeral Home, Davenport, WA. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Reardan Presbyterian Church, Reardan, WA with Pastor Bill Ward officiating.
