Marlys Joan Kissler

Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, Marlys Joan (McLaughlin) Kissler passed away on October 13, 2024 at Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center. She was born on February 7th, 1931 in Golden Valley, North Dakota to Hugh and Evangeline (Engbrecht) McLaughlin. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, Lamar Melvin Kissler (married 62 years), son, Corey Melvin Kissler and daughter, Kelly Maureen (Kissler) Korpinen, grandson, Jaime Lamar Kissler and numerous siblings. She is survived by two sons, Terry Lamar Kissler (Rose), and Tracy C. Kissler (Ruth), two siblings, Grant Edmund McLaughlin (Diantha), Gerald Keith McLaughlin (Kathleen), and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marlys has been a long-time resident of Odessa and worked at the Odessa Memorial Hospital as an aide for many years. She loved to cook and bake for her family, Deutschesfest and church gatherings. Marlys had a love for the Lord and served as an active member of the Heritage Church which included Care Bear letters. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors, Hospital Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and the Prime Timers. She will be dearly missed by all. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 Pm, Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Odessa Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM at Heritage Church, Odessa WA.
