Dr. Vidyapati Singh, 83, of Davenport passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, in Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, November 14, 2014 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 1- 2 pm, Friday at the mortuary. Cremation will follow the service. Dr. Singh married Shanti Singh on February 27, 1952 in Bihar, India. He received his PhD in 1961 from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He served as a professor his entire professional life. In 2005 he retired from St. Ambrose University as Professor Emeritus. He was a member of AICPA and active in the Davenport Rotary Club and the Hindu Temple of the Quad Cities.
Survivors include his wife, Shanti; a son and daughter-in-law, Ramon and Madhavi; three daughters Sarita Ray, Bibha Mishra and Ila Mishra; two granddaughters, six grandsons; three brothers and other loving family members.
