Timothy "Tim" J. Heberling

Timothy “Tim” Jon Heberling, 80, of Davenport, IA, passed away on November 19, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Tim was born on November 22, 1943 to parents Dorothy (Lauer) and Chester Heberling in Iowa City, IA. He graduated from Davenport Central High School and went on to join the workforce. Tim started and operated his own car detailing business and later worked route sales for a magazine company. He retired in 2005.

On August 20, 1994, Tim married Deborah “Debbie” Kelley and the pair enjoyed over 30 years in each other’s company.

Faith was important to Tim, so he was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. In Tim’s free time, he enjoyed admiring classic cars, watching the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Indiana Fever. Tim was quite passionate about decorating for Halloween and Christmas. It wasn’t so much the joy from the decorations themselves, as much as it was sharing the wonders of the seasons with neighbors, friends, and family.

Those left to honor Tim’s memory include his beloved wife, Debbie; daughter, Debbie (Jim) McIntyre; sister, Linda (Mike) Hennelly; brother, Dave (Judy Rinehart) Heberling; brother-in-law, Gary (Linda) Kelley; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews, and one beloved dog, Noelle.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; son, Greg Boyd; two sisters, Kathie Tucker and Jennifer Curley, and four dogs, Babe, FinePoint, Wonder, and Imperium.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the love and care received from the nurses and staff, especially Tabby, at Select Specialty Hospital, and Kristina and Tiff who cared for him in his final two days.
