Thomas “Tom” J. Wahl, 73, of Davenport, IA passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Kahl Home, Davenport. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private family celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to The Parkinson’s Foundation. Tom was born on October 19, 1948 in Cleveland, OH to Leonard and Betty (Lovenow) Wahl. Tom proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou (Roubik) on March 12, 1969 in Minneapolis, MN. Tom was the owner and operator of Pleasure Pools and Spas since 1978, retiring in 2015.
Tom enjoyed fishing and golf. He also enjoyed cheering for his favorite teams; the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Cavaliers. Tom was a family man and treasured the time he spent with his family. Tom cherished his faithful employees and loyal customers, he treated them all like family. Tom never met a stranger, he developed life-long friendships. He will be missed dearly.
Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Lou; children Jim Wahl and Brian (Margaret) Wahl of Davenport; three grandchildren, Mickey (Kristine) Wahl, Thomas Wahl, and Abby Wahl; a great-grandchild on the way and a sister, Patty (Mickey) Krivosh of Lakewood, OH.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Francis and Beverly Roubik.
