Sande, was born Sandra Ann Merreighn, on September 29th, 1941 in Rock Island, IL. She was the oldest of 3. Sande attended school in Davenport, Iowa and graduated from Central High School. Shortly after graduation she met the love of her life, Harry. They were united in marriage on December 14, 1959 in Rock Island, IL. They welcomed their daughter Kim one year later. Sande found her true calling to be taking care of people. She cared for both of her sisters for much of her life. She had an in-home daycare for many years taking care of children, including her own grandchildren. She later worked at Jersey Ridge Meadows as a Housekeeping Coordinator, but was so much more than that. She enjoyed spending time with the residents and decorating for each upcoming holiday. She eventually retired from the Handicap Development Center where she worked in housekeeping as well.
When she wasn’t spending time with her family, you could find her taking care of the flowers in her many gardens. She loved gardening and drove Harry nuts with all of the projects, but he did them anyways for her. One summer she decided to get rid of all the grass in her back yard and plant flowers, and add a pond.
Sande was an active member of the Westside Assembly of God Church for many years and enjoyed volunteering her time to help others. Whether she was ushering, serving, or cleaning, you could find her helping in some way around the church.
Sande is survived by her husband Harry; daughter, Kim Asmussen (Darold) of Davenport; granddaughters, Shawna Beadle (Ryan) of Davenport and Morgan Goodmanson (Jason) of Roland Iowa; great-grandchildren Abram Goodmanson, Ellisyn Beadle, Mercedes and Mariah Moore.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy Rentfro, and Kay Merreighn; Grandson Mike Moore Jr.; and Great Granddaughter, Andie Goodmanson.
