Robert “Bob” D. Lopshire, 73, of Bettendorf, IA passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Iowa Masonic Home. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Bob was born on July 14, 1948 in Davenport, IA to Richard and Bonnie (Simpson) Lopshire. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1966. He then went on to continue his education at Palmer Jr. College. Bob was a food broker and a territory manager for over 40 years covering Iowa and Illinois. He was the owner of Brownberry Bread in the mid 70’s. He retired from the Sales Force, as a territory manager in 2017. Bob was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going boating and playing volleyball at family reunions. He also participated and volunteered at Ragbrai and the Bix 7 Races. Bob was a supporter of NRA and the Republican Party. He loved his country.
Survivors include his loving wife, Eileen (Ellie) Lopshire; daughter, Meghan Lopshire; grandson, Blake and two brothers, Dick (Linda) Lopshire and Gary (Debi) Lopshire.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Billy Lopshire.
