Michael R. Attwood

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his wife, Stacey Attwood, to be distributed to Mike's favorite charities at a later time. Michael was born March 6, 1967 to Michael T. and Linda (Jones) Attwood in Moline, IL. On August 27, 1993 he was united in marriage to Stacey Johnson in Rock Island, IL. They have been married for 30 years. He worked at Doug’s Heating for over 30 years as an installer and trained some of the employees as the company grew. He was a beloved employee.

Michael enjoyed fishing and more recently he really enjoyed playing golf with his father-in-law and uncle. He liked movies but rarely saw the end of one as he really enjoyed his naps. Mike loved his family and grandkids. He also liked playing euchre.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Stacey Attwood; children, Caitlin (Tanner) Nagel, Zachary (Amanda) Attwood, and Zodiac Ozium; sisters, Christine Scott, Gina (Mike) Grchan, and Mindy (Robert) Medina; mother, Linda (Ralph Nessler) Malone; mother-in-law, Pamela Laermans; father-in-law, David (Robin) Johnson; along with 5 grandchildren (3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons), and 11 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Nicholas Allen Attwood; father, Michael T. Attwood; sister, Kelly Malone; and his brother, Mathew Attwood.
