Mary Scherer, 77, of Davenport passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Mary married John A. Scherer on December 20, 1992 in Davenport. He preceded her in death in April 2012. She was employed by Brach’s Candies and Hasty Tasty prior to her retirement.
Survivors include her children and spouses: Tammy and Scott Blake, Brian and Delberta Crosby, and Kevin and Mary McFadden; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and special friend and honorary son Steve Speth. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters.
