Mary was born along with her twin brother Mark Coffelt in Davenport Iowa on November 8th 1958 to Monte Glen Coffelt and Phyllis Ann (Saller) Coffelt. Mary was a West High School graduate of the class of 1977. Mary was married to her husband Mark Richard Graham on October 18th 1986 and went on to have three children to shower with her love. Mary finished her Masters in Elementary Education in 1993 and worked for the Davenport School System for 34 years, retiring at the end of the school year in 2020.
Mary was the most kind, compassionate, sweet, and silly lady who found joy in being with those she loved most. Her love for her family was passionate, she was a fierce protector and their biggest cheerleader. She made average days feel like magical adventures. She had this quality about her where she made everyone feel special and loved. All those whose lives were touched by Mary, be it big or small, will remember her for her sweet smile and caring spirit.
She had a beautiful ability to find joy in life’s little moments. She loved spending time outside, working on her garden, walking her dog Freddie Mercury and feeling the warmth of the sun on her face. Her faith was her strength and comfort throughout her life. She kept her favorite verses close and was an avid listener to the sermons of Berachah Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Mark Graham; her children and their significant others, Steven and Randi (Rudolph) Graham, Abigail Graham and Blake Baumbach, Claire (Graham) and Johnny Fourdyce; her grandchildren Wesley and William Fourdyce, Ariadne Graham; her siblings and their significant others, Mark and Becky (Keith) Coffelt, Tana (Coffelt) and Bob Ehlert, Michael and Ann Coffelt; and four wonderful sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Monte Glen Coffelt; her mother Phyllis Ann (Saller) Coffelt, her mother-in-law, Diane Claire (Graham) DeMeuLenaere; her sister-in-law Laurie Lee (Graham) Ricketts.
A special thanks to all our wonderful friends and family who were there to offer endless love and support for Mary and her family during her illness. A special thanks to the staff at the Unity Point Cancer Center and Hospice who provided care with compassion and dignity.
