Funeral services for Loretta E. Bankson, 84, of Davenport will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Davenport. A luncheon will follow immediately in the fellowship hall. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Loretta Edna Huber was born on November 16, 1933 in Beulah, ND, the daughter of Leo and Edna (Renner) Huber. She married Marvin Bankson on March 4, 1960 in Davenport. He preceded her in death in November of 1994. Loretta worked in the accounting department at Oscar Mayer until retiring in 1992. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Mission Club. In addition to being a volunteer with Genesis & Friends of Vander Veer, she was a member of the Putnam Museum Guild, a 25-year member of the Bend of the River - Chapter ABWA, CASI, the Quad City Times 60 Plus Club, and a charter member of the Oscarettes. Loretta enjoyed Euchre, Bingo, and Gardening.
She is survived by her seven children - Robert Bankson of Los Angeles, Ronald Bankson of Davenport, Lori (Brad) Hambright of Davenport, Renae (Todd) Renihan of Vernon Hills, Il, Eric Bankson of Phoenix, Marla (Robert) Brewer of Davenport, and Trina Bankson of Davenport; 2 sisters: Marlene (Bob) Schriefer of Golden Valley, ND and Frances Huber of Austin, AR. 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband Marvin, a son Randy in January of this year, a brother Clarence Huber, and a grandson, Nicholas Brewer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
