John Dale Nicol

DAVENPORT - Visitation for John Nicol, 36, of Davenport, will be Monday, August 22, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. There will be no services.Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.Mr. Nicol passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011, of injuries received in a motorcycle accident.John Dale Nicol was born on February 12, 1975, in Davenport, the son of John and Marcella (Rohm) Nicol. He worked as a roofer for 15 years at local companies, including River City Roofing and More and DT Construction.He was a member of the U.S.B.C (United States Bowling Conference). He enjoyed being on the river, fishing, watching N.A.S.C.A.R. and the Jacksonville Jaguars. His family and friends were very important to him, and he would do anything for them.Survivors include his daughter, Epi Nicol of Davenport; mother and stepfather, Don and Marcella Hull of Davenport; father and stepmother, John and Judi Nicol of Muscatine, Iowa; sisters, Teresa (Thomas Clain) Nicol and Maygan Hull, both of Davenport; brother, Rick (Elaine Coclasure) Nicol of Davenport; brother-in-law, Randy Muston of Evansville, Ind.; grandmother, Beverley Rohm, Davenport; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, a grandmother, a sister, Violet Muston, uncles, Curtis Rohm and Charles Nicol, and an aunt, Millie Cady.Memorials may be made to the family.Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.cunnick-collins.com.
