James M. Harper

A memorial service will be held at the Runge Mortuary on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 2 pm. Visitation will be held from 12 pm until 2 pm the same day. Per Jimmy's wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Jimmy was born on July 2, 1977 in Des Moines Iowa to Kerry and Shelly Harper. He was a very proud 15 year employee of Hawkeye Paving. Jimmy loved fishing, kayaking, camping and being outdoors. He was also an avid Hawkeye and Chicago Bears fan. Most of all, Jimmy loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents Kerry and Shelly Harper, his children; Amber Utterback, Kylee Harper, Kaiden Harper, and Kole Harper, his grandchildren; Mia, Thomas, and Javier, his sisters; Nicole (Andrew) Martin and Natalie (Trevor) Arbogast, his nieces; Jordan (Tyler) Pethoud, Carter Martin, Ava Martin, Bailie Arbogast and Harper Arbogast, his grandparents; Joan (George) Frost and Ron (Laura) Harper.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Charles Estabrook and Roselie Brown as well as his great grandmother, Viola Delp.
