James R. Anderson

James Richard Anderson Jr, 59, died unexpectedly at his home in Davenport IA, Tuesday September 3, 2013.Mr. Anderson was born June 11, 1954 in Sioux City IA to James Richard Anderson Sr and Marie Amanda Imo (Christensen) Anderson.He graduated from North Scott High School and went on to attend Drake University. While in high school he earned his private pilot's license and later enjoyed belonging to the Drake Flying Club. He was employed for many years at International Farmall Works in Rock Island IL. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge . While he was in high school he sang in both the school and church choir. He enjoyed playing golf with his father and later with his brother Roger. He was an avid reader and could be found at the library in has free time.Surviving him are 2 sisters : Sharon (Steve) Keppy Tomahawk, WI and Janet Wilker Davenport, 1 brother Roger (Lorene)Anderson of Le Claire. Also a niece: Jessica McHugh, 3 nephews: Dan Keppy, Seth Wilker, Aaron Wilker and 2 great nephews Owen and Joe Keppy.He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Sandra.A private graveside service will be held Oct 4, 2013 at the Sioux City Memorial Gardens, Sioux City IA. At Jim's request no local services will be held.Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
