Funeral services for Donna “Diane” J. Kuhlman, 93, of Davenport will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at the mortuary. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Kuhlman passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Center in Davenport. Diane was born on December 30, 1922 in Muscatine, IA, the youngest of 7 children of Nelson and Emma (Farrier) Long. In 1940, she married John F. Bishop in Rock Island, IL. She later married Leonard E. Kuhlman in 1946 in Princeton, IA. In her younger years, Diane enjoyed playing Bingo, doing crafts, and playing cards. She was known for hosting parties for her family and friends, most notably on Christmas Eve, and also enjoyed going out to eat. Among her achievements in life was traveling to Hawaii and taking the cruise she had always dreamed about. She was an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Above all, Diane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by three Daughters: Cherine (Jim) Sandry, Pam (Jim) Long, Trianna (Steve) McCalester, all of Davenport; a Son: John (Sherry) Bishop of Bettendorf; a Sister: Evelyn Thede of Lakewood, CO; 11 Grandchildren, 30 Great-Grandchildren, and 14 Great-Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John, in 1990; her second husband, Leonard, in 1996; siblings, Lucille Berry, Ollie Pickett, Bernice Farnsworth, Alberta Schultz, and Robert Long; and a great-grandson, Jeffrey Sandry.
