Deanna Holmes

Deanna J. Holmes, 85, of Davenport, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Allure of Moline. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Weerts Funeral Home. Deanna was born on January 4, 1938 in Davenport to Frank and Juanita (Killeen) Lange. She earned her associates degree in nursing and worked at St. Luke's Hospital prior to becoming a full time caretaker of her family. She was united in marriage to Donald L. Holmes on June 28, 1958 at First Christian Church in Davenport. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2021.

Caring for her family was her number one joy, she took great pride in her homes appearance. She was an avid gardener tending to her outdoor and indoor plants. She can be remembered most by her characteristics of having her hair done, red lipstick, fingernails polished, and sipping on a Pepsi-Cola.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Brittni (Adam) DeGreve, Courtney (Jarus) Henning, and Bryce Holmes; three great grandchildren, Vivian, Amelia and Walker.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her son, David.
