He worked at Standard Bearing Company for 46 years retiring in 2003. Darrell was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes Basketball fan. He loved fishing and hunting with his brother, Verl. In his later years, Darrell also developed a love for animals, caring for “Mama Kitty” a stray that made her way into Darrell’s heart.
