Cheryl J Malone

Cheryl J Malone, 61, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2pm at Weerts Funeral Home, 3625 Jersey Ridge Road Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be held at 1pm on Saturday at Weerts Funeral Home. Memorials in Cheryl’s name may be made to the family.

Cheryl was born in 1957 to James and Trenna Malone in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Davenport West High School in 1977. Cheryl was employed with Kmart for over 30 years, she then went to work at Jumers Casino in food service. Cheryl loved traveling to Texas and California to visit her family and insisting they stop at various casinos along the way; her family was very important to her. She loved animals and liked to watch Judge Judy with her friend Steve.

Those left to honor Cheryl’s memory are her mother, Trenna; sisters: Wanda (Steven) Cole, Nora Malone, and Sheila (Warren) Lovejoy; many nieces and nephews; and special friend of 30 years, Steve Gedye. She was preceded in death by her father, James; brother Rocky; and her grandparents: Louis and Nora Rochholz and Tom and Alice Malone.

She will be missed by many friends and family.
