Charles “Mike” Prosser, Jr., 57, of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in Bettendorf. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 12-2 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Inurnment will be at a later date in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society. Mike was born March 2, 1956 in Pittsburgh, PA; the proud son of Brigadier General Charles Prosser Sr. and his mom Louise (Ringo) Prosser. He served in the US Navy.
Mike owned his own trucking company for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed boating, traveling, NASCAR and telling stories about family members and the people he loved. He especially loved his beloved dogs.
Those left to honor his memory include special and dear friends, Laurie Rasdall and her son, Jason (Cassie) Rasdall and their daughters Jaycee and Brylee; Claris Bowles and her family and Cassy Alatorre. His parents preceded him in death.
