Carolyn Rochelle Burrage-Thomas, 67, of Rock Island, Illinois, transitioned in her home on September 23, 2023. Home going services will be held at Weerts Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 12pm; visitation will held before the service at 11am. Burial will take place at Davenport Memorial Park. Carolyn was born on October 16, 1955 in Louisville, Mississippi to Roosevelt Burrage and Julia Green. She attended Central high school and then proceeded on to Scott Community College. Carolyn worked for the City of Davenport and The Friendly House for 15 years. Carolyn later moved to Urbana, Illinois, where she retired from the Urbana school district in 2006.
Carolyn is survived by: Byron Burrage of South Carolina; Ivory Burrage of Rock Island, Illinois; Tomanickia Burrage-Thomas of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Raufel Burrage-Thomas of Davenport, Iowa; and nine grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Landon Burrage.
