Carl "Bill" W. Clifton Jr., 79, of Davenport, IA, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa, IA. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport. Burial will follow at Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Davenport. Bill was born July 2, 1942, to Carl Sr. and Josephine (Culp) Clifton in Hannibal, MO. He was united in marriage to Karen Jinkens on May 6, 1960, in Davenport, IA. Bill worked in the concrete and construction field. He was a passionate musician that played in bands for over 50 years, most notably in “A Touch of Country.” Bill loved the outdoors, particularly fishing, boating, camping, and going on motorcycle rides.

Bill will be missed by his son, Dennis (Diana) Clifton of Davenport; grandchildren: Amanda (Elena) Delle Donne, Josh, Marcus, Travis (Tori) Kelley, and Kristy (Nate Jorgenson); his great grandchildren, Noah, Tira, Taliya, Kaden, Teagon, and Kru; two step brothers: Parry (Julie) Clifton and Mark Clifton; and a brother-in-law, Bill (Marion) Jinkens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, and his parents.
