Beverly E. Baker, 75, of Davenport passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024 surrounded by her beloved family. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 1st at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Beverly was born a daughter of Allan and Velma Untiedt in Davenport, IA. After graduating from Davenport West High, Beverly went to work at the Rock Island Arsenal. She worked for many of the different agencies at the Arsenal until retiring after over 40 years as an Inventory Management Specialist. She was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Baker and they enjoyed 43 years of marriage until his passing in December 2015. She was active for many years in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, served on the board of the Davenport Lutheran Home and was active in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Beverly had a deep faith in God. She lived each day sharing God’s message through her kindness and heart to serve. She always had her extraordinary faith on display, sharing her love for Jesus, and ready to help anyone in need. She could often be found going out of her way to help people by volunteering at church, delivering homemade meals, offering to run errands with or for anyone who needs it, you name it.
Beverly was very blessed throughout her life to have close relationships with her family, church, friends and neighbors which was especially evident in the last few months as she battled cancer. Those left to honor her memory are her son, Stephen (Bonnie) Baker and daughter Cynthia (Jason) Tacker; grandchildren: Logan and Bella Tacker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and grandson, Isaac Tacker.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Trinity Lutheran Church.
