A devoted family man, Stanley cherished his camping trips with his loved ones and created lasting memories throughout his life. He was a proud member of the NS Freemasons and Philae Shriners, contributing to his community with a spirit of generosity and fellowship, also a lifetime member of the Mic Mac AAC. Stanley had many careers over the years, retiring in 2000 from Conrad Bros Ltd after 29 years of service.
Stanley had a special bond with his beloved dog, Coco, who brought joy and companionship to his days. He leaves behind his 5 children: Robert (Susan) Shaw, Sharon Higgins, Christine (Kevin) Arsenault, Linda (Danny) Matthews, and James (Joslyn) Shaw. He will be deeply missed by his 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families.
Stanley was predeceased by his parents, Captain Stanley S. and Jessie M. Shaw, and his brother Carl.
His warm presence and loving spirit will be remembered by all who knew him
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 05, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm, at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Interment at Mount Hermon Cemetery at a later date.
