Shirley Jordan

Jordan, Shirley, Eileen – 79 of Dartmouth, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Rochford, Essex, England she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Ida (Wyman) Cook. Shirley worked for E. K. Cole before emigrating to Canada in 1960. She was then employed by the British High Commission in Ottawa for some years. She married Francis in Ottawa in 1961. Francis moved to Nova Scotia to pursue his career with B I O in 1970. By that time they had their three children and followed Francis in 1971. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Francis Jordan; sons Iain Francis and Bruce Peter; daughter Jane Louise; sisters Margery, Pamela and Dorothy. Grandchild Peter Andrew and great grandchild Kingston. She was predeceased by brother Peter. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place 2 – 4pm Sunday, April 28, 2013 in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
