STROH, Ryan Francis, 29, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, passed away August 17, 2016 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. The Memorial will be held from 6-9pm on Tuesday, August 23 at A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home in Dartmouth, with chapel service at 7pm, Reverend James Haughn officiating. Born in Dartmouth, he was the son of Brenda and the late Gary Stroh. Ryan is survived by his loving fiancee Sarah Costain and his darling 4 year old son Hayden. Brother Michael (Jamie) Stroh, Christopher (Amanda) Stroh, his aunt Cheryl Ann and cousins Kira, Mark and Brandon. Ryan was a member of the Carpenters Union at the time of his death. He was happy in his work and preparing for his future. His journey in life was courageous, his passing so sudden. With the birth of Hayden, Ryan showed himself as a loving and dedicated father. He and Hayden had an unbreakable bond, both as father and son, and as best friends. Ryan demonstrated courage, loyalty and the ability to love and be loved. He could make you laugh; and yes, he could make you cry. He had a fearless approach to life, an infectious smile, and the strength of a free spirit. He was his own person, a risk taker who passionately followed his heart. He had a large, gentle heart which afforded him a great capacity for kindness. Like his father, Gary, he loved the freedom that motorcycles afforded him. Ryan had an appetite for fun. He loved the outdoors and camping with Sarah, Hayden, and his friends. He was a grease-monkey, creative, and mechanically gifted. Ryan was a mentor, a true friend, and never far if you needed a hand. Ryan was bigger than life! It is with great sadness that we must say good-bye. His love and spirit will live on through his family and friends. His precious mother Brenda was his rock, and will forever hold him dear.
