So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I met Bob 25 years ago when I joined the Masonic Order and he became a mentor and friend. Although I have since demitted from the Order, whenever memories of Lodge occur, Bob is the first one that comes to  mind. In very simple terms, he was "the best". My sincere condolences to the family.

I served with Bob in Protecteur when he was my Coxswain. In my opinion, he was one of the finest NCO's I had the honour to work with during my 38 years in the Navy.He will be missed by the many sailors whose lives he touched.

I first met Bob on the Annapolis in the 60's.  During this and our many other encounters his sense of humor was his hallmark...a big man with a big heart and a very keen sense of humor...sorry to see him gone.

He was one of the best.  A great Chief and a wonderful human being.

I remember Bob; he was a most thoughtful, upright and gentle man.  Every time he came with his "books," and when Frances came with him at tax season, one felt an air of honesty.  Few people communicate such a sense.  May we continue his witness to the truth.  I express my sadness for his family's loss.

Bob's Family 

I was on the Frazer from 76-78 as the Chief's writer. He was a nice man,and a good and fair boss who had a great sense of humor. He even let me off the hook one day after the Executive Officer phoned about 9 or 10 AM and asked to speak to the Cox'n. I said "just a moment Sir, I'll wake him." The Chief looked pretty cross at first answering the phone but soon after; to my good fortune, saw the humor in the little prank. My sincere condolences.

Diana..I think of you so often, and knew you were in Bedford..then I read about your father's passing..My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours at this very sad time. I hadn't realized your mom had died too..I remember both your parents so well, with fondness..

How very sad... Chief Wibberley was my introduction to the Navy. He was my first Cox'n onboard HMCS Fraser when I was posted to her in June of 1976. She was up in Montreal at the time and was providing athlete escort and security for the 1976 Summer Olympics. These were the first Olympics to be held since the Munich Massacre in 1972, so things were rather tense. I will always remember him as a loud, humorous, larger than life prince of a man. I have no doubt he will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many a matelot...

I offer my deep and sincere condolences to his family members. He was truly a most remarkable man.

I would like to express my sincerest condolences to the family of the late Robert Borden Wibberley. In reading the Obituaries in the January 10 edition of the Chronicle Herald, I was saddened to hear of his passing.

My name is Nam Ki, Lee. I am the CEO of DSME Trenton Ltd., which will begin producing Wind Turbine components here in Nova Scotia within this year. I was born in Korea and noticed Mr. Wibberley was a veteran of the Korean War. I hold dear to my heart all Veterans and the contributions and sacrifices they made for our country.
