So very sorry,  Anne, to hear of Bob's passing.   We have many happy memories of past times when Peter & Roger were such great pals.  Bob was a  truly fine person, always giving so much of himself to so many.   Our deepest sympathy  to you, Roger & all family members.   Our hearts go out to you.   May all your happy memories bring you some measure of comfort  in the days ahead.

I had the privilege of knowing Bob throughout much of my 38 year career with Ford Credit.  Bob was always the same. Positive. Personable. Caring. I had no idea how humble. I’m better off having known him.

I have nothing but great memories of this very special man. He was so good to me growing up where Roger and I were close friends. I remember talking baseball and trading cards with this legend on numerous special occasions. Anne and Bob would often have me over for sleepovers and they would always spoil Roger and myself. He was a great coach on and off the field and will be dearly missed. Thinking of Anne, Roger and the whole family during this difficult time.

More than one fish caught and more then one fish story told. More than one round of golf followed by more than one 19th hole refreshment. I will remember these times with a smile on my face. The world has lost another Good One.  Sympathy to his Wife Anne and Son Roger and Family Members. I first met Bob and also his father as members of Credit union where I worked. Then later as his son Roger became my Daughter Roxann's partner. No one was a stranger to Bob and his family. He fought hard to remain here with his family but was not to be.  He more than deserves the rest he now experiences. Gone but never Forgotten.  RIP

My sincere condolences to Anne and family. It has been many years since I spent any time with Mick but his memory is still vivid. A true sportsman and athlete who inspired me when we were young to train as hard as he did. He was dedicated to his two great loves -paddling and bowling- and I admired his skill at both. We watched him win on Lake Banook so many Sundays. He was poetry in a canoe. At Beazley’s bowling alley I enjoyed many of his stylish performances on the lanes. You just had to watch- he had style and charisma. His infectious laughter and joy always energized whatever the environment. An amazing dancer I envied his style and grace on many a Friday night dance. He was the “Mick”.  One of a kind.I shall miss him but his memory will not fade,

So very sorry to hear of my old friend and long-time Beazley bowling teammate passing..Condolences to Bobby's Family and Friends. Micky was on two of our N.S. Provincial Bowling Tournament championship teams in the 70's and was an accomplished top competitor. We also spent many years with Father John and Brother Archie at the Mic Mac, AAC with paddling and canoeing and club activities., It was an honor and a privilege to be part of Bobby's life journey. RIP, Dear Friend.

So very sorry to read of Bob’s passing. I bowled with Mick for a number of years in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and he was a terrific bowler  and passionate about promoting the game. He also had an exceptional personality and sense of humor and was well liked by everybody. My sincere condolences to his family.

Sincere condolences to the Macglashen family.  I knew Bob(Micky) through bowling, but before ever meeting him I had followed his canoeing exploits. I guess it would be fair to say I was in awe of him but found him a very accepting man and he treated lessers as equals which is a tremendous character marker.   The obituary understates his bowling prowess, he was certainly one of the best bowlers in Nova Scotia for several years...and arguably The Best.  One doesn't have to be good at something to recognize talent and abilities - I will always say if a person wants to become a bowler they should watch a video of Micky's style and approach - he was technically perfect ! Certainly not of his ability; he and I often talked "bowling" and he was as knowledgeable as he was proficient.  May he Rest In Peace.

Please accept my most very sincere condolences to you all on the passing of my cousin "Bobby"
His dad John and my mother Mary MacGlashen Montgomerie  were brother and sister - the youngest children of the Rev. Dr. John Archibald MacGlashen and Jean ( Duff) MacGlashen of Dartmouth
I have many good memories of times spent in Dartmouth  - especially at 105 Pleasant St.  I remember that Bobby and his mom and dad brother Archie and sister Jayne lived on the 2nd floor flat there and that Uncle John always dropped in on the ground floor  flat daily to chat with my grandmother  - his mother Jean.
I also remember hoe proud we all we with Bobby's amazing wins at canoeing.
Ironically one of my earliest memories is of Uncle John rescuing me from almost drowning at lake Bannock when i couldn't have been more than age 5-6 yrs. of age.
I hope to meet with you all  - weather permitting - this Friday

I knew of Mickey when he was a champion paddler in my late teens ... we are the same age ... and only many years later on a more personal basis as we both played many sports. I was chair of the Maritime Sports Hall of Fame when we inducted him, and since he joined our Board, we have become friends. I have always appreciated his no-nonsense approach to most things - Bob would always be forthright in his assessments of issues. I truly appreciated and respected that quality, but even more his great sense of humour.  In later years I enjoyed playing a game or two of golf each year... he loved coming to Oakfield. As a member of the MSHOF, he was a tireless worker and given all his life-long contacts, a great fund-raiser. There was no situation he would shy away from. I will always remember his forthrightness, his work ethic, his love of all things sports, but mostly his sense of humour and care for others. I will miss him but will remember how he was before he became ill. My condolences to Anne and all of his family Rest in peace, Bob.
