Joan Ann O'Donnell

O’Donnell, Joan Ann-70, of Dartmouth passed away on October 8, 2012 at the QE II Victoria General. Born in Iona, Nova Scotia she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Elizabeth (Rice) McNeil. Joan was a member of the CNIB and various bowling leagues with her best friends. She travelled extensively, enjoying many trips to different destinations. Joan loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she also loved going for walks with her favorite pet dog, Midge. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Gordon; sons, Michael Amiro, Darryl (Darlene) Amirault; daughters, Claudette McNeil; Kathleen (Joe) O’Brien; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Newman. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 11, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 13, 2012 at 11:00am from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, 26 Courtney Road Dartmouth. Father Jan Grotkowski SDS officiating.
