Joan Marguerite Bissett

Bissett, Joan Marguerite - 81, of Dartmouth died peacefully Wednesday August 27, at the Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by family. Born on Aug. 29, 1932 in West Lawrencetown, Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Isabel (Power) Sellars. While working at Nova Scotia Light and Power she met Cyril whom she was married to for 58 years. She is survived by her loving husband Cyril Bissett; children Bradford, Sharon and Kevin (Audrey Coffin); grandchildren Ryan Bissett and Sarah Bissett. She also leaves to mourn her passing her sister Glenna Sellars, sister-in-law Pam Sellars and brother-in-law Stewart Bissett (Florence) and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Nevada Miller and Doris Kerr, brother Milton Sellars and twin sister in infancy. Cremation has taken place, visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday August 31, with a memorial service 11 am Monday September 1, both in A. L.. Mattatall Funeral Home. A private family burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
