George Albert Christian

Age 67, of Lower Sackville, passed away September 23, 2021 in Halifax Infirmary. Born in White’s Lake, he was a son of the late Lola and Graham Christian. Survived by wife of 34 years, Yvonne; children, Tammy Verge (Shaun), Candace LeBlanc, Linda Christian (Luke Bishop) and James Christian; grandchildren, Jacob Verge, Faith Verge, Isaiah Christian, Araya LeBlanc, Mackenzie LeBlanc, Kai LeBlanc, Nicholas Barrett, Marissa Barrett, Matthew Barrett, Alyssa Christian and Greyson Christian; great-grandchildren, Madyx Barrett and Nalayah Barrett; brothers, Dougie Christian (Carol), Roy Christian (Francine), Graham Christian (Connie) and Vincent Christian; sister, Barbara Christian (Ben). Predeceased by sisters, Lillian Baker and Ethel Christian. George loved to work; he worked seven days a week for the majority of his career. He loved family gathering and holidays, especially Christmas; he loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and working on old cars. George was very kind and loving; he would give the shirt off his back for anyone. He loved life and will be dearly missed. Special thanks to the staff of the Halifax Infirmary for their care and compassion. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at 1pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home.
