Eileen Alice Carter

CARTER, Eileen Alice - 93, of Dartmouth, passed peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017. She was born in Blantyre, Scotland, a daughter of the late Eric and Mary Henman. She is survived by husband, C. Douglas Carter; daughter, Patricia; sons, Donald (Lynda), Claude (Chris), James (Shirley) and David (Karen); sister, Doreen; brother, Rodney (Olive); grandchildren, John, Lindsay, Jill, Alex, Ashley, Aleesa, Kaitlyn, Kimberly, Neil and Glen; great-grandchildren, Huck, Willie, Abraham, Sadie, Ida, Maya, Brady, Adelyn, Emilie and Matheo. She was predeceased by siblings; Oliver, William, Catherine, Charles and Rose. A person of great faith, Mom was, among other creative talents, an avid gardener, wonderful cook and baker. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 19, at 11am in Saint Thomas More Parish, Caledonia Road, Dartmouth. A reception will follow the Mass. No visitation by request. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Hope Cottage in Halifax NS, or to a charity of your choice.
